cool. keep n mind we are working mainly with silhouettes so try to think more along shadowy figures except for some minor colors that helps to give a special type of style like the boy for example will be all black with a blue blanket tied around his neck like a cape and a brown teddy bear while everything else is a monotone theme of silhouettes platforms I figure will be mostly black except for some items that will stand out. checkpoints will be nightstands that will light up and color a small section when turned on which will show the real world (desk, cabinet, chair, tv, ext.ext.) also try to think of some little obstacles that the boy may have to use his flashlight to get past a certain area (like a curled vine or tentacle that unrolls as the light hits it allowing the boy to pass or a tree monster that slaps the boy away unless blinded.) something that will give a unique feel to our worlds. right now we are currently working on the swamp levels which will most likely serve as a kick starter deal to help us create a very awesome full game with bonus content out the butt.

Had no idea this game was pixel based.... huh
Nonetheless, felt I should post this here, but I've gotten a summer job working at a Co-op farm. So i'll be having eight hour work days, sometimes ten if we're getting good pickings or need extra time to harvest, so drawing's going to be a liiiiiittle tight, so to speak. I've also got running to do over the summer, along with helping out at my dojo's black belt testing, so I'm going to be very swamped nowadays. Sorry bout it all, I'll try and fit in some drawing time sooner or later, but since it's already May, I thought I should tell y'all.

when you say pixel based, do you mean like 32 bit or...what? I was under the impression it was either going to be flash or something else...not sure.

No, I was looking at that Jack dude's post, and his attachment looked pixel-based. I was just commenting on the look of it, as I was confused, too.

For me, I need first to have for every level group a tileset made and images of objects which will be placed. Also I need a background which i can use continiously and as in limbo just add details as blurred objects into it. (I can blur them myself.) I will also need the chatacters we wil use and monsters split up in parts so i can put them together trough skeletons. I have also made a stable level loading system for myself. So if there are any volunteers I can give them a short tutorial how to create levels you dont need any programming for that. And I am trying to make a dynamic cape for the boy which will act as a cloth.
